It certain can happen that come Q& A time, there will be no questions. There are 3 things that I often do.
1) I usually like to do is either have a couple ready to go. I would say something like: "One of the questions I often get asked is...".
2) I would ask the audience a question or ask about or for an example of one of the topics we spoke about. Like if we were discussing Vocal Variety, I might ask someone to tell us about a time when... or ask if there were any questions on when it might be a good time or not to use VV.
3) Sometimes I offer additional resources or information on where they can learn more or maybe prompt and ask..
