If you are attaching a domain name to your tool, it must be secured with SSL encryption. This means that it must be accessible via the https:// secure protocol since the DoWellWebTools system sends personal information back and fourth from the browser to the server.
Using our chained certificate, we do all this for you, including pay for it (actually, it is included in your monthly fee). But you still need to do the following
This whole process can take less than 10 minutes. This step-by-step document assumes you are using GoDaddy.com.
GoDaddy is consistently offering online cupons for as much as 35% off. Google "godaddy coupons" and don't give up until you find one.

Order Your Domain |
Assuming you don't already have a domain name ordered,

Tell Us Your Domain Name That You Want Us To Secure |
We need to know your domain in order to secure your domain. Once we apply for the SSL for your domain, you will be sent an e-mail confirmation from GoDaddy.com. You just need to follow the link in the e-mail and approve it. Note: the approval e-mail is sent to the e-mail of the owner of the domain that your registrar has on file, so first make sure the e-mail is correct. Then, send us your domain using our contact form.

Validate Your Domain (GoDaddy) |
GoDaddy (the registrar we use for the secure certificates), needs verification from you, the domain owner, that we can secure this domain on your behalf. There are two ways to validate this, one simple, and one not so simple.
Method #1: Click the link in the e-mail sent to you.
An email with an authorization link is sent to all of the following e-mail address @domaintobeauthorized, one of the email address needs to be in place before we start the process.
Email addresses: admin@[domain], administrator@[domain], hostmaster@[domain], postmaster@[domain], and webmaster@[domain]
Method #2: Modify your DNS
If you don't have any of these e-mail addresses setup, you need to request a TXT value from us that will be used to edit your DNS with your registrar.
Adding this TXT record won't impact your website at all; it's something you can only view through a special tool which performs DNS lookups.
You can only create the TXT record through the company whose nameservers your domain name uses. If your domain name uses GoDaddy nameservers, see Manage DNS zone files.
Use the following information to create your TXT record:
For godaddy customers see https://ca.godaddy.com/help/add-a-txt-record-19232
*** Once you've created the DNS record, please let us know so we can complete the process on our end. ***

Point The Domain To Our Server |
6. Change the IP Address to "52.23.87.12"

Update Your Tool(s) (we often do this for you) |
Now it's time to use the web browser, navigate to your tool that will be using this new domain, and update the tool with the domain.
Once you change the domain, you may need to reload your page (shift and refresh) or restart your web browser. You will be logged off and you will need to log on again, because the logon is associated with a domain.
