The Herbal Tea Blending Masterclass is an online program created by Rebecca Stenbeck of whom is a qualified Naturopath and Medical Herbalist and is also a business owner. Rebecca evolved her skills of blending herbal teas through developing her own range of award-winning herbal-infused craft beers under the brand of The Herbalist and also through her online herbal tea business, New Zealand Herbal Brew.
Rebecca said “when I first started creating herbal beers, I used to taste each of my selected herbs in their dry form. Once I had decided on the blend I thought would compliment the beer style I was creating, I would then make them into a tea to check how they tasted. If I liked the flavour combination, I would go ahead and add the dry herbs at varying stages of the boil.”
When Rebecca was asked to formulate a range of herbal beverages for a large beverage company in New Zealand, she decided to teach the company herbal tea blending so they could create their own range instead. This enabled them to develop their own proprietary herbal knowledge-base which has been invaluable in their business and product development.
The online masterclass allows anyone to participate regardless of time zone or location. All they require is a mobile phone or laptop and an internet connection.
The Herbal Tea Blending Masterclass is suitable for restaurant and café owners and managers, executive chefs, beverage formulators, bar managers and mixologists, food technologists and herbal tea lovers, essentially anyone interested in learning how to blend flavour-based herbal teas.
Participants can apply their newly acquired skills to create herbal teas that can be served hot or cold, in-house or packaged for take home or online sales and herbal tea lovers can create delicious and unique teas for themselves and as gifts for friends and family. Other innovative applications include herbal syrups for use in fresh sodas and desserts, herbal tinctures and bitters for cocktails, tea and meal pairing and fresh herb teas which are incredibly vibrant and unique.
The skill of herbal tea blending is transferable to many different facets of the food and beverage industry and it’s easy to learn and put into practice. For more detailed information visit the website: www.HerbalTeaBlending.com or contact Rebecca via email at info@HerbalTeaBlending.com.
