The
Florida Restaurant & Lodging Show will host two exciting competitions during the upcoming trade show taking place November 1-3 at the Royale Caribe Resort in Orlando, FL. On Wednesday, November 2 the Hip Sip Competition: Battle of the Modern Bartender Bourbon Edition will take place and the Rapid-Fire Challenge: Sizzling Sirloin will take place on Thursday, November 3. Winners of both competitions will receive $1,000, bragging rights and gain exposure to over 100 media outlets.
Bartenders in The Hip Sip Competition: Bourbon Edition will be judged on creativity, taste, presentation, and flair using Savage & Cooke Distillery's The Burning Chair Bourbon as the main ingredient. The judges will be Art Sutley, Hospitality & Nightlife Expert, Savage & Cooke Distillery; and Bar Rescue’s Mia Mastroianni, and Phil Wills, The Spirits in Motion.
Chosen finalists will battle in this fun and exciting competition on Center Stage for the chance to win $1,000, bragging rights, a commemorative, glass plaque, and a FREE trip to the Savage & Cooke Distillery. On Thursday, November 3 at 2:00 pm chefs will participate in the Rapid-Fire Challenge: Sizzling Sirloin. The competitors will compete on Center Stage in Orlando on Thursday, November 3 from 2:00 – 3:30 pm. The judges for the Rapid-Fire Challenge include Chefs Shaun O’Neale, FOX's Season 7 Champion of MasterChef and David Rev Ciancio, Handcraft Burgers & Brew.
